Requirements for Au Pairs
Aged between 17 and 25 years old (up to 30 years old for EU/EFTA citizens).
Native language different from the language spoken by the host family and the main language of the region.
Unmarried and without children.
Willing to participate in a language course.
Requirements for Host Families
There is at least one child in the household who is of school age or younger.
The family possesses Swiss citizenship, a C permit, or a B EU/EFTA permit.
The au pair assists with childcare and light household tasks.
A very good knowledge of the language spoken in the region of Switzerland is required.
The family has a different nationality and speaks a different language from the au pair.
At least one parent is primarily at home and can support the au pair for at least half of the working hours.
The family is prepared to make time for the au pair to attend a language course and cover the associated costs.
