Requirements for EU and EFTA Citizens
Aged between 17 and 30 years old.
Basic knowledge of the German language.
Unmarried and without children.
Able to afford the trip to Germany.
Requirements for Non-EU Citizens
Aged between 18 and 26 years old.
Basic knowledge of the German language (at least A1).
Unmarried and without children.
Able to afford the trip to Germany.
Willing to work as an au pair in Germany for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 12 months.
Have not previously been an au pair in Germany.
Requirements for Host Families
At least one child under the age of 18 living in the household.
At least one parent has German or EU citizenship.
Expect the au pair to take care of children and do light housework.
Speak German in daily life.
The host family and the au pair must not be from the same country.
